John and Stelios in the Reglage atelier

Our story

2020-Today

Born in Athens from a shared fascination with mechanical watches and the belief that a considered timepiece should not begin with an impossible price.

John & Stelios / Athens

Young beginnings

Two friends. One persistent question.

John and Stelios are 23 and 24 today. Their story began during the 2020 lockdown, when interest in mechanical watches was rising and both were spending more time studying the pieces they admired.

They loved the craft, the proportions, and the feeling of a mechanical object on the wrist. They simply could not afford the watches that had taught them what good design looked like.

The first bench

The question became a worktable.

Could the details they valued be made accessible without treating the watch as disposable? A dining table became a bench. Evenings became lessons in movements, compatibility, finishing, and proportion.

The aim was never to imitate a price tag. It was to understand why certain watches felt resolved, then build that coherence component by component.

2021

The first thousand

Proof arrived one order at a time.

By the end of 2021, the first 1,000 watches had been sold. Each order sharpened the same disciplines: clearer choices, more consistent assembly, better inspection, and direct support when something needed attention.

The milestone mattered less as a number than as confirmation. Other people were looking for the same balance of mechanical character, personal choice, and attainable value.

Growth, controlled

The curve changed. The bench stayed central.

Assembly and inspection remained close to the founders.

After the first thousand, sales accelerated faster than either founder expected. The catalogue expanded, but so did the need for discipline: parts had to work together, configurations had to remain legible, and every completed watch still had to feel intentional.

What began as product knowledge became a point of view. Proportion first. Materials stated plainly. Mechanical movements chosen for serviceability. Support that speaks like a person.

The present-day Reglage atelier in Athens

Today

Reglage / Athens

A name for the next adjustment.

Reglage brings the lessons of those first years into a quieter, more exact studio. Ready-made compositions sit beside a configurator for customers who want to choose the details themselves.

NH35 automatic movements and VK63 Meca-quartz chronograph calibres form the foundation. Watches are assembled to order, checked, supported by a one-year warranty, and prepared for tracked worldwide delivery.

The next chapter will bring enthusiasts closer to the process itself, including kits for those who want to build at their own bench.

The story continues

Still young. Still adjusting.

Reglage is not a finished monument. It is a working practice: look closely, make the better choice, check the result, and begin again.
